i edited the trade

Suzuki as he could use a fresh start with a new organization as he has potential to be a 2nd line C, Would have put Drury in his place but i dont think the Canes move him

Seeley as he could be a 3rd pair D 2 or 3 yrs from now

Fast is their for an NHL player

a 1st and third are draft picks to use to find late round gems

I don’t think either team takes that trade. Canes won’t pay that much for a Montreal rental. Winnipeg probably wants more quality, although unlikely to get it.

There's no incentive there at all for the Jets to make three terrible bad trades.

There is no reason for the Canes to pay for a rental that will just walk to Montreal. Especially when they could use those assets to actually improve their roster. Canes have no need for more C, and they aren’t going to just bring in someone who is questionable in the locker room just for the hell of it. Canes aren’t going to waste assets on a 2C they don’t need and just doesn’t want to be there.

The only players the Canes would have interest in would be Connor and Ehlers, and Winnipeg won’t move them unless they are going nuclear.

Yeah, this is an easy pass. Maybe if you dropped Seeley and Fast, Carolina considers it, but then the cap still doesn't work. I don't think they'd have much interest in PLD.

If you want the Canes to go in and pay through the nose to take someone out of Winnipeg, it's gonna be Kyle Connor or Nik Ehlers. Ehlers is probably a better fit for the system the Canes deploy, but Connor scores goals and the Canes aren't exactly flush with scorers.

Yea i don't think this is a bad trade in a vaccum, but again the cap would be tight and center isn't really a position of need for the canes.

Probably because we're being sent back cap hit we don't want to take on and two guys over 30 in exchange for our 24-year-old defenseman.

There's no interest from Columbus on that one.

It's a terrible trade for both teams
Last thing the jets need is another LD, they dont have enough room for the ones they got.
Plus since when is Jake Bean worth Dillon and a 2nd?? The guy isn't flashy but he makes your team better defensively and adds a physical element that teams lack
