Also, Timmins time

I remember there being a report saying there was an offer for the JT pick - specifically involving Naz (7th)

Maybe that was if JT fell to 2?

Could have sworn it was with the Isles tho

Off the top of my head. Leafs had the 8th selection and the Isles 5th. Leafs traded their first, second and third to move up to 5, taking Schenn. Isles took Bailey 8th.

Mr "I can't get enough media time" Burke, offering all the Leafs picks that year to move up to take #1 Tavares. No deal and Leaf took Reilly at # 5. Isles took Tavares at # 1

Youre mixing up multiple drafts.

Schenn (leafs had 8th and moved up to 5th) was 2008 (stamkos-Doughty draft)

2009 was the JT-Hedman draft where we had 7th and tried to move up to 1 or 2

And Rielly was in neither; he was 2012...

To bad he probs wouldnt waive his NMC but honestly Jeff Carter would be interesting

As despite being older he would be an upgrade over Kerfoot (PP, PK, etc) and would to me bring that vet presence we have been missing from the departure of Spezza

Marner is #1

I know the offense has been dry but hey the defense aint bad. As it seems he perfectly fits how they are playing this year. Hopefully in the second half he starts burying them as if he can give us some goals and put up good defensive numbers the tone around him probs changes

Cause lets be honest if he had 4 more goals would anyone be complaining rn probs no as 5 goals and 10 points for a third liner aint bad. Its just that contract thats the problem rn

I volunteered too, but I'm a RHD. At least Brodie is near ready. Gee, I hope Timmins learns how skate again, in the first period tonight, he was flopping more than a soccer player.

I'll never understand why Leafs haters and even so many Leaf fans think the Leafs don't have NHL capable Dmen. And in this injury plagued Dman season, some of the minor leaguers have stepped up.
Hasn't Sandin and Liljegren really shown with more minutes they good NHLers.

Gio really has kept everything a float and I couldnt be happier. Sandin and Liligren seem to have taken on his work ethic and its been great. Brodie coming back though is needed as Gio should get a break in ice time soon as idk how long he can keep this up as I want him healthy come playoffs

Matt Murray redemption arc is going strong

This man got run over twice, got hit by Holl, and yet has kept Dallas from scoring

EVEN ON A 5 ON 3 SO FAR

And we got him for FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Do any teams dress 7 D-men?

When this injury spat happened, I asked that question and it never happened. I guess they have been winning, so I might be wrong, but I would think 4D playing 23 minutes and 3 rookies playing 9 minutes makes more sense than 4D playing 24 minutes and 2 rookies playing 12 minutes. (it also leaves a cushion in case of injury when you will have to ask the rookie to play 15').
