That Miller trade is one of the worst things I’ve laid my eyes on

if he is playing like **** it gives us a chance to recoup assets and retool our team for a playoff run in 3-4 years

Miller extended for 8 years. He is not a UFA anymore. The trade doesn't makes sense.

I don't see LA being a good candidate for Horvat but a team like Colorado or the Leafs 100%. 1st + high end prospect + cap player seems probable. I want the Leafs to get Schenn and Horvat at the deadline (both 50%) for Engvall (cap reasons), 2023 1st, Topi Niemal (High End RD prospect).

The only asset in that trade is the 2024 1st Round pick, and it doesn’t even come close to covering the negative value from Faksa & Benn’s contract…and I say all this as a Stars fan.

The only circumstance under which Los Angeles would want Horvat is if both Kopitar and Danault were hors de combat, and in that case, I doubt that we would be buyers.

If you think Miller has a bad contract, Benn is 100 times worse. May be the most atrocious Miller trade I’ve ever seen

Why would someone give up a 1st and a quality roster player for a rental forward? Patrick Kane maybe. Bo Horvat is not Patrick Kane.

I could see a conditional 1st and a B prospect. This is too much.
