Hawks aren't giving up assets to pick up Girard or to move Toews. They are rebuilding for the next couple years and stacked with young defensemen on the left side, led by Korchinski

No incentive for hawks to do this. Girard doesn't fit out timeline, and we aern't trading 2023 picks

Can’t see Girard getting moved for a rental. Also can’t see Chicago giving up picks in a Toews trade.

Is Bear’s value that low now? Bowers was just on waivers and isn’t a high end prospect anymore.

So far so good on Korchinski. Looks like the hawks might have something there (like 2 weeks into his WHL season at least)

Canes won’t trade Bear for a forward. Picks and/or a combo with a depth LHD more likely. They have 4-5 waiver exempt forwards in AHL they rather give a shot to. They have too many players right now.

Ignoring the fact that COL gets fleeced in that deal, whatever gain you made upgrading from Newhook to Toews, you just lost downgrading from Girard to Bear lol

Value is fine, but Canes don't need more forwards so probably reject based on need. Picks (3rd) is probably the route to go

Vomit. 24yr old puck moving dman locked up for half a decade is worth a whole lot more than a worked old guy a 2nd and a prospect they ALREADY traded away. Toews sucks.
