Description

This need helps both teams. All three players are UFAs at the end of the season. Ottawa gets a Norris replacement for the year who is significantly better than Brassard and a Zub replacement in Holl.

Leafs get an upgrade on the RHD with Zub (Bigger player with Muzzin being out too) Can replace Kerfoot at 3C with a number of different players.

Cap is held on Kerfoot's side to make the cap work for Ottawa.

No extensions in place for any players! Thoughts?

Keefe isn't replacing Kerfoot with Engvall, and Dubas is probably not trading Holl at all, even if they add another RHD unless he has term, and there's no other way.

Ottawa won't trade Zub until they have too (probably around TDL if they can't agree to an extension), and they will need to have replaced him and added the RHD that they are looking for.

Don't know how this helps the Leafs.....trading two NHLers for one. And to insert LWer Engvall at centre, doesn't seem like a good alternative.
Not saying Ottawa should do the deal either because they might get more Zub at TDL if they want

I'm not 100% up to date on the Sens' situation, but from what I understand so far, Zub is pretty much their Brodie in terms of defensive effectiveness. They're not moving him.
