Barrie’s offence is good. Always has been but the 0 defence part is what really kills that value. Something really should’ve been done for the Oilers defence in the off-season and it’s really showing. You can be offensive juggernauts but all of that would go to waste with poor defence and overworked goaltending.

Jackets will want a defensively responsible center who will play in their top 6 + your first rounder. He has a lot of value to the Jackets as a shutdown #2 D-man that can handle top pairing and top line PK duties on the left side. The only reason he isn't in the top pairing is because he's left handed and behind Werenski. Only D-Man playing at and/or above his contract on the roster and Jarmo wants to keep him long term.
