No I am not suggesting trading Ehlers before you start crying.

The guy is talented don’t get me wrong but he’s an absolute bandaid and it’s an issues because we need a top 6 winger badly right now. Really miss Copp rigjt now

Absolute bandaid is pretty extreme, Copp missed his share of games too, a guy getting injured from a direct knee on knee like Ehlers did hardly makes a guy a bandaid.

A guy like Bogosian who was constantly missing games here and there with undisclosed injuries from unnoticeable hits/collisions is the textbook definition of a bandaid athlete/hockey player.

I've heard that Garland would be a fit in Winnipeg. Canucks would be interested in young players (ideally centers or RHD) and/or draft capital. Do you think there's a trade to be made there?

DeMelo doesn't have much term compared to Garland and isn't that young. He's a good roster add but not at the expense of Garland.

Jets do have decent D prospect depth. Salomonsson, Lundmark, Bauer, Chisholm, Gawanke. Or maybe Heinola or Stanley

I would take Kerfoot and give the Leafs Stanley. Jets are currently succeeding without Stanley and Kerfoot could be a decent middle 6 guy moving forward. Stanley could help the Leafs defensive depth considering that Muzzin is injured.

I really like Heinola but he'd a LHD, so not as useful. I'm not sure how good any of those guys are but a RHD would be nice along with recouping a 2024 2nd.
