Nice targets, but probably weak offers.

Dumba is worth more than 2 3rds and 2 UFAs, so I think that offer gets easily beat.

Laughton is worth more than a 2nd, but gogolev isn;t much of a prospect and probably not even top 10 of flyer forward prospects and engvall to PHI is a cap dump. Laughton easily gets 2nd and a good prospect or 2 2nds. That offer is just a lot of meh and a 2nd TWO drafts away.

Evans is nice, nothing special but the picks are pretty poor and villenueve is an undersized RD, (who looked poor in rookie camp, but still has some game and growth), who might interest MTL, but they have at least 2 better RD prospects already.

Nice targets, just not good enough offers.

Wishful thinking trades. But that's essentially what CFACGM is for.

Dont really see why Hughes would trade Evans for spare parts, he’s well liked, still young and a solid 4th line center.

Matt Dumba should return at least a late 1st if not early to mid 2nd round pick and at least a C level prospect. possibly a B level prospect if it were a sign and trade.

Leaf should be looking at getting a Dman if any trade is made. You've traded Holl for Dumba, and therefore not increased the number of NHL Dmen on the team. But let's not live off reputation, you could certainly argue that Dumba hasn't been any better than Holl this season.

I've looked at Dumba's matrix this season. Don't know how his 5 points, minus four. (and other factors)...is an improvement over Holl

If you’re not sending a 1st for Dumba, there isn’t a deal to be made.

-I don't think the Habs would ask for a *ton* more but this is basically a trio of lottery tickets. Turn the 5th/7th into a conditional 3rd(whichever is worse of Toronto & Ottawa's) and I think the deal is a slam dunk. Or upgrade Villeneuve to someone a little closer to NHL-ready(Hollowell? Rindell? I dunno if those options are much better tbh)

-Not sure if Philly's trying to get out of the Laughton deal, but even if they're soured on him I don't think this is enough. If they're done with Laughton, I see this being an okay deal - turning 4x$3M into 1x$2.25M for a middle-6 player is a great deal if you're looking to move on, and the extra picks are a cherry on top. But if the Flyers are happy with Laughton, it's gonna need to be more.

-Deal doesn't really make sense for either side. Toronto is assumedly aiming to contend this year, no? So why are you sacrificing depth for an incremental upgrade at RD? I *do* think Dumba is better than Holl, sure, but this basically makes your RD depth chart go from Brodie - Liljegren - Holl - Hollowell to Brodie - Dumba - Liljegren - Hollowell. You're still kinda screwed if *anyone* gets hurt for any amount of time - and now you've also subtracted a good middle-6 asset in Kerfoot, to boot.

On the Minnesota side, I gotta assume if they're moving Dumba it's going to be because they're kicking the can on this season and cashing in their pending UFAs - and I can't really see them being excited about getting back 2 pending UFAs for 1. I gotta think they're gonna be looking for picks/prospects in a Dumba return.

Would love the addition of Dumba, but I agree with the options, that the offer is too weak - especially because Kerfoot and Holl look more like Cap dumps especially due to the current performances this season. They are underrated in some areas (PK...) but boy oh boy would I love to spent the combined 5.5M € in other assets.

Is being a Leafs fan just an endless process of imagining ways to turn Holl, Abruzesse, Kerfoot, and Engvall into something useful?

Face it, nobody wants any of those guys and the fact that they appear in every single TOR mock trade on here makes it pretty clear why. You can't just cobble together spare parts with bad contracts and get assets for it. Even weak assets.

You're overpaying for evans and I'm a habs fan (all depends how much the habs value the RHD prospect)

Exactly the Flames gave up a 1st rounder for the MTL to take Monahan off their hands the Wild put Jost on waivers , with most teams being cap strapped the trade market is crazy and there are a lot of teams that are going to be giving assets up to clear cap space or free up roster spots come TDL.
