You'd have to think Parayko refuses a trade to Winnipeg as nice as it would be for the Jets to get him.

All of this considered we'd have to be sub bubble team for Army to move anyone.
That being said, I'd expect Tarasanko to fetch more, why would we ever trade Parayko, I agree with trading Schenn, and the ROR deal would get better offers

None of these are realistic, one way or the other. And zero chance we hand Parayko to a division rival for speculative pieces.

Carolina tell you firmly to jump off the gateway arch. You aren't getting EITHER Morrow or Nikishin for Schenn. The picks are fine. You're not getting a Hobey Baker nominee and the best D man in the KHL for a player the Canes cannot afford anyway

Canes would be better off keeping those pieces and not going after Schenn. Besides, they wouldn’t be able to afford Schenn anyway, and St. Louis isn’t eating half his salary for an extra 5 years. Just to get the cap to work, 75% total retention with Stastny getting shown the door, and that should be enough to make the cap work, just who is going to be retaining that much for that long.

2019 Taylor Hall. New Jersey acquired a 1st, 3rd, and a prospect that was drafted in the first round, second round, and third round. For Taylor Hall and a 3rd round prospect.

So..... two 1st's, and a 2nd for a guy that put up 6 goals, 19 assists in 30 games at that point in the year which is almost identical to what Tarasenko is doing.

1st of all that wasn’t the deal. It was
Hall and Blake speers for
Nick merkley
Nathan schnarr
Kevin bahl
A 1st and a 3rd.
2nd of all Taylor hall had won the hart a year prior while tarasenko was having 3 major surgeries. When hall was traded that was the low point in his value while tarasenko is at the high point. There’s a much lower chance that tarasenko improves more than there was for hall. Hall was also much more extension friendly as he was ~3 years younger then than tarasenko is now. Taylor Hall was much more valuable then than VT is now and the fact that the package that hall got is only slightly more than this proves my point.

Leafs aren't trading Knies
Regardless, any trade for ROR would get a better deal.

The mental gymnastics on this... What we established was that your first point was talking out your ass. Teams trade for rentals and pay 1st's for talent to win the cup. Even if your more recent argument held water, which it doesn't, you still have a rental player going for multiple firsts.

How is this multiple 1sts??? It’s one 1st and I never said that a rental couldn’t get a 1st
