So no one really knows what Domi is eh? Sure he scores more points than Kerfoot (well sometimes) but he's a trainwreck defensively and he's far less physical. Why construct a line that scores 20% more but gets scored on 50% more. Thats a net loss.

You are very silly... in a realm where PHI would give up on Konency, he would very obviously be in your top 6. He's pretty much their best player though, so I wouldn't count on it

This guy gets it. Leafs getting more offensive help for more defensive issues is not going to help.

Emphasis on ''Sometimes''. People don't see how valuable kerfoot is to this team. So versatile. Put him in the top 6 you get 40-50 points, put him 3rd line he will play a shut down role while creating some offense.

They don't have defensive issues. Could add scoring but not at the expense of defence

Not sure if Domi is an improvement over Kerfoot Certainly Konecky is. But then next season with his 5,5m cap hit, don't have cap for Bunting and then giving away three assets in the trade.
Didn't the third line scoring the winning goal last night?
All good teams need their cheap ELCs to be NHL contributors. Trading away a years worth of picks, Robertson (and Bunting) for Konecky doesn't't seem like a sound plan.

Oh? So you would be more comfortable with the Leafs defence (healthy) vs the Leafs offense during playoffs? Not usually the case

90% of the people on this site base all their opinion on the opinions of the other fans and 75% of those people hate TO more than they like their own team. And to them, TO never has good defence and never will. They are top 5 defensively this season with their defence injuries. Once healthy they'll be even better.

Just letting you know that our 3rd line has been ZAR-Kampf-Engvall/Malgin and they have been doing great. Reporters always have this listed as their 4th line but it is clear based on ice time and how they are playing that this is their 3rd line. Zar-Kampf have been the main stays and the right winger has been alternating. If they can find a permanent guy for that, I would not be opposed.

I think we would benefit most by getting a top 6 left winger who can preferably fiill in at centre if needed. If we get that, the rest of the pieces on our team slot in nicely in place.

Or maybe, and this is just a thought, the Leafs have a history of struggling on the back end and a top-pairing of Holl and Giordano is unsustainable regardless of the temporary success? And I know they have better options but this is a very similar core to what they’ve run out before. Just a thought though.

And? Last year there were a top 10 team defensively but had the 27th ranked goaltending. This year they are getting good goaltending and are a very good team defensively. They don't need defence. It's a myth that hasn't been true for a while now.
