Shouldn’t attach OEL to Horvat to lesser the return. That Devils trade is horrific for the Canucks

You're probably right but damn it would nice to be free of OEL in a rebuild. Certainly could ask for more with Demko or different pieces.

Would definitely be nice, but we should get the best return possible for Horvat. The more realistic scenario with OEL is buying him out

There’s no chance the bruins are touching OEL.

Both brutal for the Canucks and not taking other teams' cap into account.

Pittsburgh has no cap space, and you have them adding 1M even before taking Dermott into consideration. You've balanced Boston for this season, but they're are screwed for next season and beyond. Winnipeg has like 2M in space, you've sent them 5.75M. New Jersey doesn't have space to add 2M in cap. Almost all of the guys you take back are on expiring deals, but you're sending out long term contracts, so these teams are handicapped both now and later.

Space fluctuates between now and the deadline. Outside of Pittsburgh, which could easily part with someone like Kapanen to make it work, I think these teams can manage in the future.

Schenn isn't needed, Jets have too many dmen as it is. Garland certainly of interest though.

Remove Dermott and I think Pittsburgh would do this. The contract is long and expensive, but adding this much fire power to the team would be a great way to give them another shot at a cup.

1 - Okay, but it doesn't say anything about the deadline.

2 - Heh. That's easy for you to say, you just took 10s of millions in cap space away from them.
