I’m not seeing the value in it for the hawks. We are taking on too much salary for next season and not getting more than a late first/ struggling prospect (based on a quick look at his point totals in the AHL) for all of our trouble. That is also not to mention that Murphy is a valuable player in his own right.

Huh? This trade is so god ****ing awful for the oilers it’s not even funny. A better D man, a young top 9 guy, a prospect and a first? Even for a legit top 4 guy. That is way too much

Horvat is insanely overrated and we don’t need more offense. Makes no sense to give up our only hope on D for him, and overpay him in FA after a career year. Gavrikov and Murphy are no better than Ceci or Kulak, who make less and we struggle with anyways. This is a whole lot of nothing after emptying the cupboards. Targeting the wrong players, these guys are all bad

Missing the required mid-to-late 1st for Gavrikov. Your substitution attempt with Bourgault doesn't cut it because we do not need or want wingers.
