The Armia-Faksa trade makes sense. Would also allow to trade Evans to a contender.

This is so lame how hated he is on the site. He has 8 goals this year and plays an important role on any team

Just wondering, but why is everyone sending their RHD’s to the Canes? They already moved Bear to clear up the logjam a bit, why would they need to bring in another, especially when other areas could be improved instead.

7 goals and 9 points in 25 games making 5.5x4

At 2.5M he's a solid asset to any team. At 5.5M he's not.

most of his goals are fluke deflections or tap ins too. It's quite rare that he is the driver of the play. I think his offensive impact is inflated, but I agree with leafs101 about his cap assessment.
I still believe the habs are better off hanging on to Anderson for a year or two more because I don't think the media reports of his value right now are accurate, but they could be once he has 1-2 years left and less gamble on his term.

Canes fans are saying they would like a depth defenseman just for insurance. Apparently Chatfield's play has declined and Coghlan isn't getting the look he deserves.

I’d rather just buyout Faksa

Chatfield has been great as a defensive dman. He hasn’t been able to get much going offensively, but he has been great defensively. Coghlan hasn’t worked out as the 3LD, and with Chatfield playing the way he has been, Coghlan hasn’t gotten a shot at 3RD. Both de Haan and Chatfield have been a bit sloppy, but still effective. 3LD would be a better depth acquisition.

I'm kind of baffled that there are no Edmunson, Monahan, Anderson for a first round pick

because i really don't think any of them are realistic rumors. All the more at the extreme price points. Especially Anderson. I think its more likely that they don't move at all.
Besides, if I sold them for any less than the rate habs fans have, I'd be called a "weak troll".
So I thought I'd try and use realistic value and realistic possibility to make a decent build.

I’d do this before Hynes cuts his minutes and/or puts him in the press box ultimately having Poile send him down and hope he passes through waivers. Sorry a little upset with our coach and our whole upper management at this point

Montreal has too many telented defensement all of a sudden. Matheson and Savard are killer leaders. The youngsters are outpacing all expectations and the pipeline including Hutson, Struble, Mailloux, Trudeau, Barron are also exceeding expectations. Montreal has a bunch of veteran forwards on expiring or near expiring contracts and a bunch of others about to be traded on or by the draft so...

(we don't need defensemen, we need goalies, picks and forwards)
