Description

These are the pre-deadline moves I'd make. It would generate some pain for the remainder of the season, but would generate cap room to then re-sign Kuzmenko, plus bring in a RD and additional C depth in the offseason. It would also create some room to test out some young kids (McDonough, Karlsson etc.) on pre-rookie trials before the summer.

I don't think Avs accept that deal since its too much for a rental

Sounds like a risky bet. I'd expect him to fetch a 3rd but push the pick back a few years and it could easily come in at a 2nd.

isles wouldn't do that. A 2nd + odelius who should have been 1st rd pick. take out odelius isles might do that.

So Horvat is somehow going to fetch the Canucks at least double what the Flyers got for Giroux. Yeah that’s a hard no from COL.

Once again the AVs don't have the cap space to sign Bo Horvat long term, So Sakic isn't giving up Newhook for a pure rental in Horvat.

Who knows? Schenn could pull in even more, but that offer seems fair for both sides.
I'm a fan of Bo and all, but maybe, just maybe, is that a slight overpay? Maybe Newhook+1st+3rd would be a more reasonable one.
