I'd pass on Mitts. Why not extend Toews if he knows/accepts the deal of #3C? I don't see him being too prideful. If they're coming back...he'll get the deal that he needs to usher the new crew in. Who are you targeting for the (2) 1st? I'm hoping Quentin Musty falls. He seems to be all over the place, but a big talented winger is who I'd be targeting.

***EDIT*** Watching those highlights at WJC, seems like Bedard might turn out to be a winger. No shame in that. Just that he can more singularly focus on that snip of his. It's already and elite NHL level snipe. To be honest, I'm not sure if he wouldn't already be one of the best in the NHL too.

I like the Mittelstadt Idea for Chicago. They're gonna have to trade some of these picks for Young players if they want any shot at competing anytime soon. Or else this rebuild will be 5+ years.

If Hawks get Bedard, this looks like a solid plan for next season. Could definitely see Kaner resigning w/ Hawks. Graves would be a good get as a partner for Seth too! Nice job! I admit I'm not a Mitts fan, and I'm not sure I'd spend that 2nd on Mitts. Don't think he's really suited to be a 3C. I can see T Johnson maybe playing there. Hes's always played better at C than on a W. Or maybe Cole Guttman gets a shot. He's putting together a really solid 1st season in Rockford.

Yeah. I've been thinking graves would be a nice acquisition too. Him or Gavrikov. Jones and Gav were a pretty effective pairing when Jones wasn't with Werenski. I wouldn't spend anything on Mitts though, definitely not a 2nd. We can find a free agent or inflate someones extension for a couple years if needed.

Also, where's Phillips? If not this season, I think he is gonna stick in the NHL come next season. Especially if Korchinski and Del Mastro are going pro. I definitely think he sticks in the NHL before Vlasic does.

Mittsy is a good player he just doesn't fit Granato's Sabres and it makes him look bad. He isn't. He's a passing 2c who has been a victim of unstable coaching. A change of scenery to a team that can utilize his skillset would reinvigorate his production. I would take the Chicago '23 second but not the TBL 2nd.

Not a chance anyone is paying that much for a guy that's struggling no matter what excuses you make for him. Career high of 12 goals and 25 points 4 years ago. Most I can see someone giving up for him is another reclamation project.
