Canes can’t and won’t do that. They need Gardiner on LTIR if they want to add anything at the deadline, and moving that much for Horvat is a mistake. Canes once again, have to decline.

There's nothing in that package I think Carolina wouldn't consider moving, but not EVERYTHING in that package for Horvat. He's not a good fit as it is, but he's a rental. You want 7 pieces? A 3rd for Schenn is fine, absolutely no problem with that, but that is WAY more than Horvat is worth.

After the roster are set for opening the year - any player who was on LTIR at that time has to be activated to be traded. That means that the team trading the LTIR player has to have the cap space to active that player to trade them. Therefore the Canes can’t just trade Gardiner…as pointed out they are using that LTIR space already.

TB easily passes Hoglander is marginally better than Balcers definitely not Foote as a difference. Add a 3 maybe then.
