Chicago will need a better return since they'd be retaining on Vrana next season too.

Hawks probably pass here. We can do better with our retention slots over the next two years imo. Alreadu have too many of our own guys to retain on

Wouldn't hate seeing us take vrana for ourselves though

Vrana would help you reach the cap floor after Kane, Toews and Domi are traded and going into next season.

"Players who are claimed off waivers must be offered to the other teams that placed an original claim before that player can be traded.

For example, if a player is placed on waivers and three teams place a claim on him. The team lowest in the standards gets first dibs. If they then decide to trade the player, he would first have to be passed on by the other two teams. If a team places a claim, he’d be theirs. If not, he can be traded."

That is really interesting, never heard that rule before. I have heard that about placing the player on waivers again. There's got to be some sort of time frame to that rule. 1 month, 3 months, 1 year?

I hadn't heard this before today either. I actually lifted this from a previous ACGM from another Toronto fan who suggested the same thing. Not sure of the time frame but I'm guessing it's the balance of the regular season.
