It’s probably fair value, Arizona still shouldn’t do it

Enough to consider...sure why not. I still don't think they should take it though.

I'm gonna buck the trend and say I'd make this deal if I was in charge of the Coyotes - with one caveat. I'd want to swap Sharangovich for Dawson Mercer; if that means you downgrade the extra 1st rounder to something lesser I'm fine with it. You're getting a top 6 C in Mercer, a top 6 RW in Holtz, top pair RHD in Nemec, plus whatever you get with this year's 1st? That's a strong foundation for a team - as good as Bedard can be, we only have to look at Edmonton and Toronto to see how far even the best individual players in the world can drag a team.

I get what you’re saying , but the coyotes have a ton of depth in their prospect pool. With Bedard their top 9 could look like this next season. Bedard has the make up of a generational talent

Keller-Bedard-Schmaltz
Maccelli- Cooley- Guenther
Crouse-Hayton - UFA

forgot about Cooley being in their system! how could i!!

that top 9 is scary if they get Bedard - hell, if they get Fantilli and he winds up being the Eichel to Bedard's McDavid, that's still scary as hell

I am looking forward to watching Arizona next season. There’s probably a 75% chance they get one of Bedard/Fantilli.

And whoever they trade Chychrun for im sure they’ll get an NHL ready D prospect.

Hughes and Hughes with a first round pick and two thirds. Maybe also someone like Nolan Foote could be apart of the deal

This is kinda wild simply because Hughes is 1st in WAR, 5th in xWAR, 2nd in avg GS, and pacing for 94 points and over 40 goals. Like, sure Bedard has some insanely high upside, but Hughes is one of the best players in the league and he's 21.

Ow I agree it's wild but any team that has that Bedard pick is looking at a McDavid, Crosby level prospect and a guaranteed money maker.

So trying to trade for that level would likely take a player that's as close to that level as possible, Hughes and then something that increases the value to make it worth it, so another good asset on top of him.

Would be the closest thing to a Lindros trade my generation would ever see

Bruh what? Everything in this proposal is quality lmfao. We all know Bedard is going to be outstanding but come on dude, if you don’t think that offer isn’t good idk what to tell ya.

Honestly if Mercer was difference maker and we could drop maybe next years 1st to a 2nd I’d still do it. Bedard is going to be THAT good and the devils still have a solid prospect pool after this with Luke, Muk, Casey, Vilen, Gristyuk.. Bedard would give them the potential of a true dynasty imo. But I think it’s obvious neither team would make this deal.

No point in gutting your team to get Bedard.

No team with a chance at getting Bedard is trading it. Especially Arizona. Getting a generational player would make them relevant again

Yeah I know. Tbh I don’t think the team is gutted though. The devils lose 1 roster player in this deal whether it’s Sharangovich or Mercer but regardless both teams wouldn’t do it. Just taking my stab at how the devils could go for Bedard without giving up Jack or Luke

im not even saying its a bad offer. But this kid has a real chance to become the next true great (McDavid, Crosby, Matthews, etc), Would a team trade that away for a really good defensive prospect, a promising forward, a good middle-sixer and two mid-round 1sts?
If I'm trading the next big thing, I want something GUARANTEED back
