Clarke -- Guhle and a 1st rounder this year that would need to be in the top 10. (IE, LA would make the cost a price Montreal won't pay. Clarke isn't for sale)
Durzi -- probably a 1st rounder, or a 2nd and a REAL good prospect/borderline NHL'er. Maybe a 2nd and Xhekaj.
Grans -- 2nd rounder and a mediocre prospect. But I don't see LA moving him because his value would be better used in a package deal for a much better NHL LD (ie Chychrun, Gavrikov, etc.)

Durzi is thriving as the Kings 2LD. Clarke is an unmovable asset.

Xhekaj and Harris are likely out for Grans, so not sure there is anything there other than maybe Hutson or Struble, but they are college assets.

Agreed, but Durzi isn't getting moved this season unless we can get a suitable top-4 LD

I don't think we're selling Ceulemans unless we can get a probable future core player back - which is probably an unreasonably high ask. He's been the proposed "quality prospect" in various packages for a #1C, for example.

I wanted to see Clarke with Guhle but i can see that's impossible lmao
Ceulemans was also one that im curious value wise.

I could see them moving him in a package like that as well. Walker's first likely to go, in my opinion. But I also see a Durzi trade being similar to the Jack Johnson trade for Jeff Carter way back when.

The Kings had a young and promising D-man ready to step into Johnson's shoes in Slava Voynov. Now, the Kings have BOTH Clarke and Spence who look very close to ready to make the jump to the NHL and contribute. From the prospects, Durzi has the most value outside of anyone not named Clarke, and teams might struggle to find a spot for Walker's cap hit. So I could see Durzi being both the guy that other teams want, as well as the guy that brings the most back for LA. Whether it's part of a package for a LD or another pick in the 2023 draft remains to be seen.

Sean Durzi, Sean Walker and Jordan Spence are probably all available for the right price, Grans less so, Clarke not at all.

I would go along with my esteemed friend @PuckLuck_77 and exchange Durzi for Xhekaj and a second. Jordan Spence for Jordan Harris is good, but I can't see how Montreal can withstand the poor optics of such a deal.

Really funny you mention it, I definitely call Durzi, JMFJ2.0 on a hockey text chain with my friends.

The problem is, with the poor play of Edler, Durzi is legitimately our second-best left-shot defenseman. Even if we got Chychrun, I wouldn't be surprised to see our pairs become:

Chychrun-Doughty
Anderson-Clarke
Durzi-Roy

Durzi isn't a left shot defenseman. He's a righty that plays his off-side.

I get that, but to balance the lines, we need someone who has chemistry with Roy and that's not Spence or Clarke (yet). (who I know are also right-shot) Again we are talking just this season.

That I agree with. Durzi and Roy have been fine. I'm looking at getting someone to spell Edler right now, as opposed to the big name in Chychrun.

A guy like Niko Mikkola would help solidify the pairings, as well as be cost effective. I'm not sure the Kings are in the correct position to go "all-in" on a guy like Chychrun just yet.

That is a great suggestion, I've been thinking Maata again but Mikkola would bring more physicallity.

Habs need a lot more than a premier RHD.

They need 8 forwards, a goalie, and yes, a premier RHD

If you are listing prospects who will make the team in the next 2-3 years I don't think you are far off, but I would add Farrell.

Unfortunately the earliest we see most of those is 2024 and even then they will need until like 2026 before most of them are good NHL'ers.

We don't need to trade for a RHD, we can probably draft one over the next 3 drafts.
