Rangers don't have the cap space long term for Bo Horvat, So no way are they giving up Schneider for him.

Pittsburgh isn't paying $8,000,000 x 7 years for J. T. Miller that would hurt any chances of improving the team long term.

No disrespect towards Bo, but Schneider is a good defence men still on his ECL next year, and you can't really beat that in terms if value. So based on that I would suspect Drury to decline this offer.

I feel like Boston would do that, but, yet again, they need money for Pasta and also, Boston would have to add another player in the deal to make it so Boston is under cap. Maybe add someone like Mike Reilly in the deal. Boston would obviously have to add a sweetener in the deal, but, it could work.

If Boston wanted to get better they wouldn't trade for Boeser in the first place.

Soooo, your telling me that Craig Smith and Trent Frederic are better then Boeser. Also, maybe he will excel in Boston

A Horvat rental wouldn't get you just Schneider, so amazing easy no thanks from the Rangers. Keep dreaming.

Well, how does replacing someone like Smith or Frederic in the lineup with Boeser make them worse. Cuz if he doesn't, that's basically saying that he's better than those two

Ottawa has announced they're willing to deal a high pick/prospect to get rid of Zaitsev, so there's no chance they're looking to take on Myers.

Boeser *could* bounce back but right now, he's overpaid and it would be an overpay to give a 1st for that contract whether or not they'd get better. Managing assets properly is important.

No they wouldn’t the only place he fits is the 4th line lol. Frederic plays a solid 2 way game and fights. Boeser is overrated and doesn’t produce well considering his pay and hype

For the roles that they play and the contracts that they have yes, Craig Smith and Trent Frederic are better for Boston than Boeser. The proof is in the pudding.
