why would the isles (one of the worst teams in the league and almost guaranteed to miss the playoffs) be interested in either of those two players?

fair lol - I just can't believe this is a thread. Chychrun would be a terrible fit on the isles in terms of what they would have to give up and the fact that he wouldn't move the needle at all.

Pretty sure the blues would ask for a 2023 first plus something small. We could take a cap dump back to make the salary work as long as its not a multi year deal.

what I do know is that the isles window is closed and that they will be forced into a rebuild. You can clone two tarasenko's and two chychruns and put them on the isles, they would still miss the playoffs. This is the least skilled roster in the NHL. Adding a 2nd liner and 2nd pair D wont change that.

I just saw rumors on instagram/twitter and was curious. That's all. Plus, I haven't really been paying attention to hockey (as much as I used too) recently because my Chiefs are going to the Super Bowl (probably not but i like to stay positive)

I think it will take 3 years of finishing bottom 10 for the isles to become contenders again around dobson/barzal.

Gotta keep Barzal, Dobson, Sorokin, P&P and Nelson around imo. Everyone else can go. Can't be stuck at 6th place

I think Bailey, Beau, Palmieri, mayfield, varlamov, Nelson and unfortunately sorokin have to go. Anyone 30 or over has to be made available.

panarin and fox aren't coming to save the isles. They got a bit lucky. They'd still be in a rebuild if it weren't for those 2
