his metrics are decent, his play this year has been solid. I will agree he is overpaid by about 1 to 1.35 mil but at least he is producing in the NHL. your arguing a guy making 4 mil buried in the AHL is worth Labanc and a 1st is utter nonsense.

Vrana had an addiction problem and is trying to make a come back but has been the better player throughout his career.

I see it as a bit of a wash, one for one sure. Detroit isn't gonna pay to get rid of Vrana though and especially not going to pay to trade him for another meddling winger

his play was slipping and he was going through a tough stretch and was scratched for 3 games to rest him. he has been in our top 6 all season.
I get the point in that this is a very linear move but Labanc is worth more than a guy in the minors struggling with addiction.
