This is taking a step backwards. Why do this with a top four of Dahlin, Samuelsson, Power, and Jokiharju anyway?

Like I said i heard alot of people saying Buffalo needs a RD so i was going off that.

Well take Savoie out and JJ out and Buffalo's 1st and will start from there and Add other pieces.

Detroit don't need LD.

We really don't need a RHD and this is about the biggest overpay imaginable.

How do you think that trade is even remotely close?

I have no idea what i going to happen with Vrana or what his trade value is but with another year on his contract there is no rush to sell him for peanuts. That can be done at the 2024 TDL.

You forgot a qualifying word in there. Buffalo needs a "better" RD. Parayko wouldn't be able to crack our lineup on the right side over Dahlin, Jokiharju, and Lyubushkin.

And you think that MASSIVELY OVERPAYING for Parayko is what we “need”?
This proposal is just plain dumb

Sabres would maybe- MAYBE- offer you Mittelstadt, a 2nd & Lyubushkin- but that would be the absolute most imo


Also, we don’t “need” a RD like you’re thinking
We are looking for a long term partner for Power,
but that may very well be Jokiharju (who our mgmt likes)
And we aren’t looking for a “star” partner for him, just like we weren’t for Dahlin’s partner
Looking for a solid defensive guy who has chemistry with Power
And again, we might already have that in Jokiharju


If ANYTHING,
we’d be looking for an LD3 upgrade this season

I wouldnt do this trade ever but the odds that Joki becomes the long term partner is less than 10% at this point.

and then Adams might revisit the idea in the offseason

id rather not wait and fix the defense now tbh. They wont do anything to Joki because he fits the age they want despite him stinking

I hear ya on wanting to upgrade Power’s partner asap,
but it matters what Adams wants & not what the fans want

I think what’ll happen, is that we see the rest of the year play out with Jokiharju as Power’s partner, & then they evaluate in the offseason
I also don’t think Jokiharju “stinks”
That’s quite the overreaction imo

Maybe the right deal comes along at the deadline & that changes Adams’ mind, but I’d say that’s a longshot
Guess we’ll have to wait & see
