Vancouver isn't retaining that much. The Wild just aren't a good trade partner.

Sharks pass. Maybe a 5th in next year's draft but his play does not dictate a high 4th in a deep draft.

They are only retaining $1,662,500 for two years. This is about as much as VAN is currently overpaying Boeser. Van will need to retain at least 25% with most teams during this flat cap

That Canucks deal is actually really really good like one of the best trades i've ever seen on this site. It makes sense for both sides and both benefit greatly.

Really Good Job

As a Sabres fan I would be thrilled to get Foligno back. He could easily be a guy wearing a leadership letter next season. The only real trick is finding a roster spot for him without taking ice away from young players we want on the ice. You also don’t bring in a guy like that so he can ride the bench.

How about you forget about Boeser and add Addison to the Buffalo trade and I will add a Olofsson with 50% retained
Foligno Addison
Olofsson 50%, Philadelphia's 2nd

Lmao, what? If Greenway can’t pull a 4th then he won’t be traded. We will wait to have his value bounce back next year to the 2nd round value he’s had literally every other season.

Guy has 6 points in 34 games. Good luck with that. Value goes up and down and GM's only care about his most recent numbers the most and this season is not remotely compelling a 2nd round pick.

Probably what it would take to get the Canucks to retain half on Boeser. I like Boeser, just don't love the idea of moving Addison to get him.

Why disgust, Olofsson has more 5 vs 5 goals than Boeser has scored this year. You look at his numbers this year and see not many helpers. But he has averaged about 25 assists the last few years.

Nah, Olofsson doesn’t make sense and Boeser doesn’t really either aside from his ties to Minnesota. Minnesota would lose about 3-4 years worth of team control on their asset if he was dealt for Olofsson. Ostlund would make sense from Minnesota’s POV if you want Addison assuming Kulich is off limits.

I see you’re just a stat watcher. I’m not selling greenway for a 5th or a 4th. A 3rd maybe, but I’d rather wait for his rebound to then sell at his usual value. He had surgery coming into the year and then injured it again in his first game back. His production will return to normal.

I'm a stat watcher for Minnesota certainly. I don't have time to analyse every players intangibles. I'm sure you do though. Congrats, no one is paying a 3rd for 6 points.

Cause you obviously don't think Olofsson fits, think you are selling him short and Buffalo really doesn't need to move him. With 50% retained Olofsson Is definitely worth a late 1st and a prospect. He could be lethal with Kaprizov or Boldy.

Maybe you shouldn’t comment on trade value if all you do is look to see who has the higher point totals.

Because Addison is being used to obtain Boeser as the whole premise of these moves. If VAN wouldn’t want Olofsson instead of Addison (which they shouldn’t), your trade falls through and the Boeser trade doesn’t work. No sense in sending Foligno to BUF then
