Have you seen him this year? He's 24. Look at Dach and how that is working out. Cause he's a PPG center and we don't have one. Not Dach, not Suzuki. This accelerates the rebuild. I think this team has a decent shot at a playoff berth.

Caufield is better than PLD no question, and Dach is getting dangerously close. Suzuki, we'll see, but he could be better as well. No crucial need for PLD imo

Insane that people think he's not signing a long term extension with a team this year. He is having a career-best season. He's not putting it at risk to get low-balled by the Habs in 2024.

I would say they are different players. But IMO Suzuki will be the best 2nd line Center we've ever had and that's just fine.

Caufield is not a better player than Dubois lol.

There is no 6'3 LW/C available 11-15th in this draft who could help this team in an impactful way over the next 2 seasons. Suzuki is a good player who is getting better, but he's not a game-breaker at 5-on-5. PLD and Dach may actually be the centers and Suzuki could potentially move to wing.

I agree with you. But adding Dubois would allow MTL to have a quality top 9 with Dubois, Suzuki and Dach as centers and all the wingers you mentionned.

With all the ELC coming, i think MTL could afford that top 9 for a long time.

Yes I have seen him play THIS year, playing with a lot of skilled players. He still hasnt cracked 30 goals, (should this season), hasnt scored 65 points, but I could careless about his production. He had issues with coaching in Columbus, he was played he would go on the ice and not do anything, it got so bad he ended up benched, THATS the kind of attitude you want on the team, or does the fact he is french make your jeans tight? He came to Jets, he informs Management, who gave up a LOT to get him, that he has NO intentions of signing an extension with them, after they gave him an out, THATS the loyalty he shows? He is a UFA in a year, but habs fans wanna trade first round picks and prospects for a whiney french kid? No thank you.....He will probably walk in a year, so then ya out the picks and prospects and No Dubois....Not worth the gamble to me. I hope Dubois has a good career....Difference with Dach and Dubois, Dach didnt whine or sook to be traded. I just have NO interest in Dubois.
