What are you paying Buffalo to take that Goodrow contract?

Vince is on a good one thinking Vancouver would trade Höglander for Kravstov.

Just buyout Goodrow, you get more cap relief than trading him. What's the point in giving assets to save yourself from paying $3,650,000 in 2026 and 1.2m for a while. Especially when you get additional cap relief vs his AAV in the next two seasons, when we need it the most.

His contract is substantial negative value. Rangers have to pay to get rid of it.

Would be a great add for a playoff push this year without giving up much, ad 3.6m isn't a significant contract to Buffalo.

I don’t see where he fits in our lineup though
We’d have to trade someone out

Maybe they could trade Mittlestadt+ for a RD. I wonder if Buffalo was one of the teams interested in Parayko. If they were, though then perhaps they wouldn't want to take on Goodrow's cap hit as well especially with both having a lot of term left still. I think he would be a great partner though for Power. Although, it makes their cap picture a bit more clear with knowing how your 1 to 3C is making along with one of your top 4 D.

I like him as an offseason move more than in season. Assume girgensons and/or okposo are gone

A 4th and a 3rd seems like plenty, I wouldn't do it if there's a chance we lose pick 40ish for him. Rather throw some darts at some d with the 3 seconds we have. Nobody is overpaying for depth forwards making 3.6 for 4 more years.

Wrong. Nevermind Goodys stats, he's the perfect 3rd liner. Don't kid yourself, gms would come calling. Infact it's better term than many, with what he brings, ie Coleman Garland Boeser JoshA or future terms Barbashev Sundqvist. Broke his foot blocking shot game 1 playoffs, now up to speed and coming in hot, although he was still a defensive stud while recuperating. The only reason he might have to go, After this run, is cap. Unfortunately for him, it comes down him Or Lindgren And Laf. He is our glue upfront, outsiders don't see that, it's understandable

I love when people just stubbornly stomp their foot and say, “wrong,” about something that’s clearly subjective.

To steal a phrase from you, don’t kid yourself - way too long and way too much money for his role. No one wants that deal, and you’re going to be on an island for this one.
