Initial Creation Date: Feb. 14, 2023

Description
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

▐▐▐ ▬ The ONLY way Is IF Jeff Carter Takes a Paid Vacation For the Last 2- Months of Season & Goes on LTIR ▬ ▐▐▐

▬ This team has been destroyed by MoRon Hextall the last 3yrs, soooo many holes..... It will take 5-6 Trades like this just for a chance at Winning a cpl Rounds.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

[MIN] - 1st Trade ▬ 2 players that need a change w/ 3yrs both left on Contract & Heiny who needs a change too.

[DET] - 2nd Trade ▬ The 3C we need in a 6'6" 210lb 23yr old Rasmussen (Same kind of Trade for 23yr old McCann 2nd & 2- 4th's but added Hallander too) & the 3rd Goalie we always need.

[CGY] - 3rd Trade ▬ Dumo struggled early but has been much better but isnt a Top Pairing anymore, more of a 2nd or 3rd pairing LHD. 2nd Rdr is fair IMO

[CHI] - 4th Trade ▬ McCabe has been my LHD target for like 5yrs. Playing Great but is a Risk w/ Injury concerns.

[SJS] - 5th Trade ▬ The Pens get a real life Tough Player? Am i Dreaming ??

[VAN] - 6th Trade ▬ 2- RWers that Need a Change badly

A lot of these trades are big risks.

Greenway is basically a bigger version of Brock McGinn, might as well keep him if you're going to bring in the same type of player.

Rasmussen has been good this year but has been awful every other year of his career. Given the state of the team, it makes no sense to take on a high-risk player like him. Plus you have the Pens taking on Nedeljkovic's contract which has negative value. If we're being honest here, the Pens should be receiving a 2nd round pick from Detroit to take on that contract.

McCabe falls into the same boat as Rasmussen. He's been decent this year but has struggled for the majority of his career overall. Too risky of a move considering the price needed to acquire him.

Gadjovich and Boeser straight up suck and aren't needed.

I like this, but I doubt sleepy Ron actually does more than 2 trades max. But if he did make these trades, I think McCabe could be had at 50% retained with a first rounder. And I don't think Boeser comes with any retention, but the cap space will free up from McCabe being retained. I'm not too sure on the Detroit trade, only because I don't know much about Rasmussen. But everything else I like.

Alex Nedeljkovic = Bag of pucks.

No thanks on Michael Rasmussen, Yzerman won't trade him. He was reportedly a piece that Allvin/Rutherord wanted from Detroit for Bo Horvat. And Yzerman reportedly wouldn't do it.

Swap out the two 2nd's for the 2023 1st and the Hawks probably accept. They'll even retain half on McCabe.

Flames would rather have the cheaper Gilbert IMO. Don't need an upgrade on Defense. We need an upgrade in Foward

You are very very ambitious with your returns.
Minnesota doesn't even consider without adding a fourth for some reason.
Detroit isn't trading Rasmussen.
Calgary isn't paying a second for a very expensive third pairing defenseman. Not do they want his cap hit.
I don't know if Chicago will trade McCabe with any sort of retention for two seconds.
San Jose isn't wasting a retention slot on Gadjovich.
I don't know if Vancouver will retain on Boeser for that little.

Rasmussen has been good this year but has been awful every other year of his career. Given the state of the team, it makes no sense to take on a high-risk player like him.

I would take past results with a grain of salt. Ras has been slowly growing into his role. He was forced into the NHL early because of the stupid CHL/NHL agreement (couldn't go to the AHL but outgrew the CHL), so that took him time to adjust to. He's also been thrown around the line up while growing into his huge body. This year he's gotten more consistency and improved significantly, mostly due to playing wing. And he's played it well.

So long story short, this isn't a good trade:
1. He's not much of a C, so not a good fit for PIT
2. The trade value isn't enough for Detroit to accept because Ras is still improving and we know he's not done maturing yet

1. I like getting jordan greenway but Wild won't take Mcginn and heinen. They want to cut salary.
2. Rasmussen isn't getting traded by the redwings. Nedeljkovic wouldn't be a bad pick up but would be very cheap even with any salary retention. Adam Erne would be cheap too and add a lot of grit to bottom 6.
3. Calgary is pretty solid on left side Dmen having hanifin, Weegar and Zadarov. Dumo isn't an upgrade over any of them really. plus they couldn't take on Dumo's cap hit and improve their center position which is what they have been looking to do. Also Dumo going for a 2nd ain't happening.
4. McCabe is buyer beware and thats a big overpayment.
5. Why, just Why. Sully never plays guys whose only ability is being a tough guy remember Ryan Reaves...
6. So many rumors PGH is interested in Boeser but honestly I wouldn't pay more for him than this but Vancouver will want more.

Detroit will do Erne and Nedeljkovic for Hållander and a 4th without retention. If you want retention the price goes up significantly since retention slots are scarce in Detroit.

Fair, but if you're getting him for 2 more years after this at 2 million dollars, I think that's a good bet. But that 1st could be used to get something else too.......Meier??? A man can dream.

Yzerman loves his big guys, Pretty sure a team would have to absolutely blow us away with an offer. For him to move him. He's already tied his last season in points with 27 in 30 fewer games. He's just a big dominate force out there. And his skating has definitely gotten better for such a big man.

Rasmussen isn't available unless it's an extreme overpay. You can have Ned for free. Please take Hagg with you. No really. Please take Hagg with you.
