Kent Hughes don’t want to trade him and already declined a 1st …
Stop it with the poor offers
He just won’t be traded

Sharks want nothing to do with this deal! we need prospects and Vlasic has actually been decent this year vs. Anderson who has not.

No Problem, I’m done, but if MTL Fans could please stop with their delusional trade offers in return for Josh Anderson, that would be great as well. Flames aren’t interested in moving their 2023 1st, Pelletier, Wolf, Coronato or even Poirier for 0.40PPG Lucic 2.0 Josh Anderson

Only way Josh Anderson brings good value is if they take a bad contract back and/or with significant retention

When he’s healthy he’s good and I get his physicality and intangible assets, but his contract is awful for the amount he produces. Players with that kind of play style just can’t stay healthy. They peak at about 28 and rapidly decline thereafter

josh anderson is 5.5x 5 years (27.5)
Vlasic is 7x4 years (28)

Seems pretty even to me

I don't understand people saying his contract is awful. He's a power forward about to score 25 goals this season. Could easily score 30+ with a center like McDavid or Hughes.

Josh anderson is not good enough to play with Jack Hughes. best he could fit on the devils is alongside nate bastian and michael mcleod playing the miles wood chaser role

He's awful defensively, his playstyle is not one that ages well, he is one of the worst passers in the nhl.

No one wants montreals trash certainly not at the cost of a 1st from a rebuilding team. Sharks can buy out Vlasic for free

I agree he's not a good passer. But if he can score 25 playing on MTL 2nd line with Dvorak, i think he could easily score 30-35 with McDavid or Hughes while playing his physical game. How does that not qualify him as their RW? And wouldn't a 30+ goal power forward be worth 5.5M? I'm not saying he's ideal, but people saying he's a bad player don't know what they're talking about.

Yeah we thought that about the Younger Bison King Jesse Puljujarvi too and look how that turned out… Not so much

Puljujarvi never scored 27 goals, and isn't on a 25 goal pace this season. He also isn't a fast power forward like Anderson.

Puljujarvi’s the far better two-way forward and was scoring at the same pace as Anderson the previous 2 seasons. 15 Goals in 55 Games is a 22-23/82GP Goal Pace btw

He clearly needs out of EDM like he’s asked

Anderson outscored him both season by 4-5 goals on a 82 games pace, while mostly playing with Dvorak and Drouin. And i don't think Puljujarvi showed he's a good defensive player.

I bet Anderson would score 30-35 with McDavid. He's fast enough to play with him. Puljujarvi proved he isn't.

Puljujarvi was nominated for the Selke Trophy last season which is Awarded to the League’s Top Defensive Forward

Puljujarvi is seriously a better overall hockey player than Josh Anderson, he is just in desperate need of a change of scenery

Can't wait to see what they're both traded for.

It doesn't matter how many hypothetical goals he'd score with those 2 bc he isn't good enough to play on a line with them, and if your team is putting him in your top 6, that means you have a bad hockey team (or a dumb coach)
