I'm assuming you're referring to Schenn and yes, they all thought he was getting a first. It was ridiculous.

That's a lie. They thought they were getting a 2nd. Most other fans valued Schenn at a 3rd.

Very few people I saw expected a first. I think you are all over selling this right now. I (Leafs fan), expected 2nd +7th (same as Kulak last year). I really wanted to add him to our top 8. Happy all it costed was a 3rd.

I miss Sandin already.

Lol, he was ridiculously overvalued.

You'd think Luke Schenn would be the second coming of Scott Stevens based on some posts.

Objectively, a 3rd round pick was right on the money.

People thought Luke Schenn would garner a decent prospect or a 2nd round pick.

No team would offer a 4th round pick or later. Those types of picks are used to acquire AHL depth, incentivize salary retentions, or cover small discrepancies in value.

Im not even a Canucks fan. A few are ridiculous when it came to stuff like the JT Millers trades last season and Boeser this season BUT i didnt see anyone say Schenn was worth close to a 1st. You are nipticking a random fan that was probably trolling.

I still think he's a 7/8 defensenan on a contender I wouldn't have given more than a 5th for him . He's a great dude. I am not knocking Luke Schenn the person he's just not a quality NHL defenseman.
