Yeah I'm almost certain CHI would take these guys, gladly, but not for free.

Ceci is playing the 3rd hardest minutes in the entire league and breaking even, and you want to give him away for nothing?

Similar story with Foegele - he is scoring goals at a 1st line rate, making 3rd line money.

Where is the disconnect from reality? It's not just you, fans of the worst team in the league want picks to take these two players?? It's crazy.

3rd hardest minutes in the league? What does that even mean?

It means he plays more minutes against the elite forwards in the league than almost every other defenseman. Other defensemen spend more time facing 3rd and 4th liners, so if their on-ice results look better its possibly a result of facing easier competition.

And his results are pretty close to even. For just $3.25M, that's a valuable player to have around.

Are you saying he plays the 3rd hardest minuets than any other defenseman in the league or on the Oilers?

Here's the list: http://puckiq.com/woodmoney?season=20222023&tier=Elite&positions=d&group_by=player_season_team
Although it hasn't been updated recently, it's missing 4 games for Ceci and one for Seider. So likely Ceci is second in the league, not third.
