I just don't see a fit. A 1 for 1 Kuznetsov for Zadina would be fine, with both teams taking risks of a bounce back. I don't see Detroit throwing draft capital at an over 30 with 2 years left at 7.8 million; it doesn't fit with the timeline for Detroit. Conversely, I have no idea what the off ice issues are with Kuznetsov, but he has been pretty useful up until this season...a contending team could find use for Kuznetsov, and actually pay some assets to get Washington to eat some cap.

Kuznetsov could get traded next year to a team like LA or Carolina, but i wouldnt expect anything more than a low first, unless he turns it around again.
