laugh Detroit doesn't need LW, And we sure as hell aren't giving up a 1st and 2nd round pick for a guy with 4 seasons under his belt that doesn't even have a 40 point season yet.

Detroit declines. I don't think Farabee will ever grow into that contract.

I mean we do need LWs but not a bottom-9 guy lol. Regardless, we still pass.

I have no doubt in my mind that any player the Wings pick at 17OA will be better than Joel Farabee.

Konecny sure, I'd be interested in frost or Hayes for the right price but you aren't getting that for farabee

Why on Earth would you ask for Formenton, let alone pay a sizable sum for him?

I have no interest in trading Farabee, he’s a guaranteed bounce back next year.

I think Provorov fits with Dallas much better and thats an underpay. Plus the farabee is a huge overpay by DET. Th rest are fine

Nahhh.
He had a really promising first 2 years, then has dealt with injuries the next two, was snakebitten half of this but shown flashes. Has looked himself again as of late. He's coming off a serious injury and he had no time too put on muscle, give him this offseason and he'll be back to progressing into a good Top 6 NHLer.

Also players in the NHL who come in at 18/19 typically have a few years of lack of progression. People were ready to give up on Necas last year and this year he is one of the Canes top players.

Not justifying the return being fair, but only because atm his value is sorta low not because he wont be a valuable player in the future.

We need Right Shot Centers, Right Shot wingers and Right Shot defensemen even more. We still have tons of LW in our prospect pipeline.

Fair. I just see the 1 LW spot as a huge hole for Detroit that needs to be filled. In terms of left-shot wingers we have Berggren, Soderblom, and Hanas. We could use Kasper, but not having him @ 2C would be underutilizing him.
Right Shot is a bit better with Raymond and Mazur.

I see a lot of similarities between Carter Mazur and Tyler Bertuzzi. Though Mazur is a right shot LW. I think he can eventually take that 1 LW spot.

I think he's good, but I think his absolute ceiling is a 2LW despite matching the goal scoring nature of the top line.
