Would probably be more in the deal. wasnt putting too much thought into value.ACGM was just for sakes of just really showing what the team would look like

They are both FA's that can walk. Nylander has a higher liklihood of resigning in Calgary imo, given he is from calgary, he is also younger and puts up a ton of points.

Terry isn't moving, its not a matter of value, we can't sell off the kids and claim that we are trying to build a team.

That's fair, although Terry is 25 gonna be 26. That's not old but really not young either, I'm curious what Anaheim does in the offseason because I feel they are taking a longer more patient approach.

1. No he doesn't. Lindholm convinced his best friend to come play in Calgary so he clearly likes playing there, especially with all the other Swedes on the team.
2. He's 1 year and 5 months younger lol,
3. Lindholm puts up a ton of points too
4. Lindholm is a legitimate 1C whereas Nylander is purely a winger
5. Lindholm is one of the better 2-way forwards in the league whereas Nylander is defensively disabled
6. Cap hits next year make a massive difference, Calgary already has zero cap space to work with

Number One, Terry is not moving.
Number Two, Not for that price.
Number Three, I know people say this draft is a super deep draft, well virtually it is not. It is a top heavy draft.

Nylander is also looking for between $9,500,000 and $10,000,000 per. I doubt Calgary is giving their hometown boy that much. I've a feeling that the jonathan Huberdeau signing is going to be night marish enough.

This. Draft is 5 players deep who could go #1. After that it evens out to normal. A late 1st is the same value this year as next, or last

That is the thing that we are all waiting patiently to see, and I don't expect much, we clearly need a #1 RHD, and we can sign someone to term and to money, neither is an issue for us. I expect we will also acquire a #2 LD veteran on an expiring deal similar to how we acquired Kulikov this past season (Looking at you, Boston). Comtois may be moved, but I hope he is not, and I do not expect much in the way of forward FA signings, maybe a prove it deal for a fallen star like Drouin.

We will still be sellers next TDL, Henrique, Silfverberg, whatever LHD we pick up, any veteran asset on an expiring deal. 24-25 season is where things should start to get interesting.

I added the "+" for a reason...

Wasnt trying to make some extravagant Terry trade wasnt really the point of the ACGM.

Terry may not be traded, but he isnt extended yet and Anaheim doesnt seem particulary close to anything atm.

I doubt anyone gives Nylander that much. I see your point but theoretically their gonna have to pay Lindholm in that range too.

Totally, like why would Calgary want the younger and clearly better player? Terrible for them. You may want to just ignore anything that has the leafs involved. You hate them more than you like Calgary.

If a player has a leaf on his jersey and it's a white one on a blue sweater, it's safe to assume he's underrated.

You clearly dont understand positional need at all. A 1st line center almost always has move value than a 1st line winger. Especially when you factor in that the age gap is only 1 year and that Nylander is by no means a better player.

As for the Leafs specifically I literally just called a trade proposal brutal for them earlier today. Maybe, just maybe I actually know a thing or 2 more than you about this sport instead of simply hating your favorite team like you constantly say

Hard pass for the Ducks

2 guys under 5’10 at that is simply the opposite of what Verbeek has stated he wants

Nylander’s only ties to Calgary are the fact his dad played there he’s Swedish, I doubt he’d resign there regardless if he was born there

What bias? Were comparing a ~ppg 2-way dominant 1st line center vs an 85-90 point offensive winger. Factor in cap hits and value swings evan more.

Maybe think about it from a different perspective. Lets say hypothetically Matthews didn't play for the leafs and your center depth was Tavares - ROR - Kerfoot. Would you trade Tavares for Panarin? The Flames simply do not have a 1C if you remove Lindholm, he is also on a fantastic deal and was a Selke finalist just last year. So logically it makes zero sense to trade their 1C for a winger and cap wise it makes zero sense either
