Hawks decline both of those trades. They are nowhere near the point where they are going to trade away 2nd round picks for a couple of one year rentals. And I doubt Hall waives for Chicago anyway.

With all due respect, why in the world would a rebuilding team trade draft capital for veteran players? The point is to accumulate prospects in hopes of building from within. And before you say they can be flipped at next season's deadline, let me remind you this is potentially the deepest draft we'll see in a while.

Not any respect for players M NTC.s.... Hall looks like he isn't worth his contract so why are teams paying for him. And you can be sure both Ullmark and Hall would only have teams that have no cap on their trade list.

Will give you TBL 2nd for Grzelcyk if you add Lysell.

Hall deal is a non-starter due to the NTC and the fact we are rebuilding and the draft capital is far greater value then the proposed rental.

Hall trade is just an idea, but if it can't get done its no biggie. Keep him and don't sign Bertuzzi, money's basically a wash.

I doubt he actually has a full NMC btw.

As for Chicago, they suck ass, have a **** ton of cap room, and not enough good players. Who says any deal would be a "rental?" They could ya know, sign them to contracts.

Or the Hawks could ya know, wait one year and sign either guy as a UFA, and ya know, use those 2nd round picks themselves. Hawks aren't in a rush to exit their rebuild. Spending draft capital to acquire pending UFA's is poor asset management for any rebuilding team.

Your not wrong, we do suck, so what does giving up a 2nd for a guy who will literally does nothing to improve our chance of winning achieve? The only value would be if you added a player like Lysell to take on the cap dump.

BOS wont want to lose their top prospect and Hawks don't want to pay for a cap dump (in CHI eyes). Stalemate

Not sure how Edmonton is supposed to fit Ulmark in - they have no cap space and two goalies already signed for the next few years.

What? Bad teams need to add good players to win. Hall is a good player. He'd probably be a 1st liner on the suck bag Chicago.

I will indulge and entertain the thought.

Why would you move him if he is such a good player? Wont that make your team worse?

Adding 1 player even McDavid wouldn't make this team contend, Hall really won't improve the team much.
