Up that 2024 seventh to a fourth and Anaheim would say Yes. A $6 million cap hit is still a $6 million burden from which you need relief, no matter how much it is in actual cash.

Hawks aren't a landing spot for Garland. He's obviously not a cap dump, but the Hawks aren't going to be spending draft assets to acquire veteran players either.

Gets to play in his home province and they can offer a lot more money than the Avs can. Byram is going to be offer sheeted by someone this summer bcuz at most COL could offer something like $3M AAV, with his injury issues he'd take the security of a larger paycheck.
