Yeah it would cost more than that to move back that many spots.

Sure to tanev and Colton. I'm a big fan of Colton. Fantilli I wish. I'm in favor of moving up if the first round if the situation fits which is always hard to tell until you get there. I like Barlow but depends on the board. I'm not moving the Boston 1st to get Bonk, he's not worth that.

Wings shouldn't be trading for a UFA.( Tanev) Leafs might do that trade but more maybe for the Wings 3rd rounder # 74, not the 90th.

Man if we win the lottery I'm taking a dive in the Detroit river.

We're drafting Oliver Moore and thinking otherwise is refuting facts and science

Lol you want to move 12 spots for only a 2nd and 3rd? Leafs easily decline. Pay up if you want the first, it isn't a donation

Stop Colton isn't going anywhere and that's not doing it. TB Management by what was said at the TDL think more of Myers than you do apparently.

I think you misread that Boston first trade for Bonk. It's trading up to get Boston's first this year.

I think Tanev can be resigned. He's a really good player and would be a great mentor I think for Edvinsson.

Yeah my bad I read it backwards, honestly I think bonk is there when we draft in the 2nd and no reason to move up to get him.

But he could resigned anyway if wanted. I'm just not a believer in giving away assets "hoping" to resign a player. By the way, unless Tanev loves the city of Calgary, I would say the Wings are a better hockey destination than the Flames.

Tanev is 33 if he signs anywhere it's to chase a cup and be in the playoffs and that isn't Detroit.

A future 2RD vs a future 1LW. I know which I'd rather have.

These team could very well be a playoff team though. Could see a team on the rise with these additions. I just went him as a mentor and stop gap anyways. If I couldn't resign him by the deadline then I would move him if we aren't looking like a for sure playoff team, likely recoup the second. It's pretty much the same as the Leddy trade. We traded for one year of him.

This is only if he is wanting more than Tampa is willing to pay. Do they pay him over 4M? Tampa does have the tax advantage I do get that. I don't think poorly of Myers at all, that's why I have him on the NHL roster. Also not sure how much more you would get for Colton. I might upgrade that third to a second.

It's not only the tax advantage, it's the organization, the deep playoff runs, the area, the weather. Guy going to the morning skate in shorts in January in Detroit?

Suuure, if you are a psycho. I saw this in sheets in January when we had a bit of a heat wave where I live lol. I guess it really depends on what's more important to the guy, getting a big pay day cause this would likely be his best chance of that, or weather, competitive team and familiarity.

After next season the cap should go up significantly. TB has shown they reward players Sergachev,Cernak Cirelli most recently . You go to Colton take this one year and come January we'll extend you for blah blah blah.
I also don't see a threat of an offer sheet from Yzerman.

Yeah Stevie isn't going to shank his buddy JBB with an offer sheet. Better chance of Blashill going a game without making a creepy goofy face behind the bench.
