Don’t want Gibson . Give me a 2023 1st and a 2 way top 6 replacement like a Yanni Gourde

And Gibson is widely known to not want to play in Canada, and has the trade protection to prevent it, so no.

I don't know that there is any potential trade between Anaheim and Ottowa this year, as built you guys have Centers and LHD, which are what we have an excess in and would be willing to trade, what you need are RHD and Goalies, of which we might be willing to part with Calle Clang, but he has had a rough season over in Sweeden. With regards to draft capital, we're not moving out 2023 1st, maybe the 2024 is up for discussion, but the rebuild is supposed to be over in Ottowa, so trading for futures doesn't make much sense for you.

Gibson doesn't waive and why would the Ducks do the deal either.
It sure is DeBrincat's right not to sign with Sens and just take a QO offer. But IMO his trade value isn't that high, unless a team can sign him to reasonable long term contract.
Best the Sens can hope for is he has a great season and they trade him at TDL. Just because the Sens traded a first, second and third to acquire him, it doesn't mean the Sens can get anything near that return in a trade.

Forsberg is probably better than Gibson at this point.

Exactly. If I’m the Sens I want to come out of this off-season with Debrincat and possibly a little futures out and getting a permanent starting goalie and a good 2 way replacement on the 2nd line

Gourde and the 2023 1st is what I want in a return at the draft.

Absolute fleecing for Anaheim here. You just lost DeBrincat for nothing.

Well he says he’s going to evaluate and see what’s best for him family. But honestly I don’t really care, I don’t want him at 9 mill. The 2nd line was atrocious defensively , sacrificing a little offence and getting back a 2 way replacement will make them better.

All you want? Gourde is cost efficient player with two years left. And what is the pick about 20th. DeBrincat will want UFA money on his next contract. IF doesn't sign long term, it's just a one year rental for Seattle.
Shouldn't Seattle just keep Gourde/the pick and use the difference in money to sign a UFA?

Tyler Bertuzzi got a 1st at the deadline and Cat is much better. They can get way more than just a pick in the late 20s for him.

The writing was on the wall. Swing and a miss. Ballsy but bad acquisition. The worst outcome would be to lock him up at anything near 9m

I'd take Cat in a second but there's no way the Sens are trading him to a division rival.

I feel DSeBrincat's trade value might be highest at TDL. He'll treated as UFA, an expiring contract.

As to what Anaheim could offer, for Cat's signing rights, assuming he would be willing to sign here with term for not 9 million AAV, is some combination of the following (not all of it, a combination of these pieces)

2023 33OA pick
2023 COL 2nd
2023 BOS 2nd
2024 ANA 1st
Adam Henrique (with retention if necessary)
Comtois signing rights
Sasha Pastujov (our top winger prospect)
Calle Clang
