Flames add. Miller is a PPG player while Kadri seems like more of a 50-60 point player rather than the player he was his final season in Colorado, plus Miller is younger

Personally, I think this is about even. Miller is definitely the more offensive capable player, but Kadri adds intangibles that Miller doesn't bring to the table - true center, very good on the PK, better attitude.

The question is, can Miller play under Sutter?

@Dutchies nailed it.

The real problem is neither one is likely to waive his NMC to go to a team that didn't even make the playoffs this year.

If Kadri had any value to another team, he would leave the flames in a heartbeat.

In the universe where being a complete hockey player and a good teammate bear a lot of weight into teams signing players. VAN fell into the trap signing Miller to that extension and now they want out. They should have moved him last year and kept Horvat. Miller can score points, but he has a negative affect on his team.

Full Canucks homer perspective here.

This statement is perfect. Miller is better on offense. Millers contract is slightly more appealing, given the age.
Naz is a full time center, much better defensively. Has won already. Is far more physical. For lack of a better word, his "x-factors" on ice are more impactful than Millers.

It's two sides to the same sword. One side will like this one, where the other side thinks theirs is better.

I don't think Vancouver is interested in Naz though, so done and dusted.

It's depressing that people who don't follow the canucks come in and pretend they know the locker room.

JT is a great teammate and is well liked. Media made it up because they saw two moments on the ice and decided to creative their own season of big brother.

We keep the far superior JT Miller. (also a PK specialist now) unless you wanna give up multiple firsts for us to take your bad Naz contract.

Naz's only intangibles are getting suspended every playoffs.

VAN doesn't even consider this, Kadri headshot Daniel Sedin, Canucks fans would riot. Plus he's a proven liability in the playoffs, Miller is also better in pretty much every aspect of the game and he's younger.
I also think a Miller/Huberdeau move would be much more likely than this.

He also headshot Daniel Sedin, fans would never accept him

Management in NO WAY want out of the JT Miller business. If they did, he would have been traded long ago. The flames would have to add a 1st and a 2nd for Van to even consider this trade.
