It's an easy overpay to move up just one spot in the draft, Philly passes as soon as Hart is mentioned. It is like Montreal offering Guhle or Slaf to move to 4th

No way Philly does that. Maybe not even to move into the #2 spot for Fantilli

No, I said this is as ridiculous as Montreal offering Slaf or Guhle to move up to 4th from 5th.

My only thought behind this post is the drop off in quality after the top 5 picks, but michkov might be available at 6th anyway

GSVA draft pick value chart shows the difference in value between #5OA & #6OA as 0.6 future GSVA (8.2 vs 7.6) - equivalent to a pick in the 80s. While I always believe that the team moving up needs to overpay a little, giving up a starting goalie is a bridge too far - if Philly offered up their 2nd rounder (#39OA, 2.2 GSVA) it would be more than enough, and on top of that they wouldn't have to give up their starting goalie for it.

My whole point is it maybe costs a 3rd to move up 1 spot or a 2nd with the drop off, I think Hart has more value than a 2nd or 3rd round pick.

Montreal adds their 2nd.
Philly gets 5th and Hrabal.
Montreal gets 6th and Hart.
