What’s more realistic? He had a down year considering his time in Chicago.

I have better chance of playing for the Sens then Panarin waiving to the Sens.

Not not at the Sens.....I can't imagine Panarin waiving for any team. Maybe Tampa but they have no cap.

Sorry, I didn't mean to offend the the Sens or the good people of Ottawa.

sens can't afford that and DeBrincat probably doesn't sign for any less than 8 per year, MAYBE 7.75 with the right team

No way Trouba is actually that cheap to acquire? I know his AAV is high but he's a good player. Buffalo would probably offer Rosen + 2023 2nd. Would that work? What would be the cost if we wanted 1-1.5 mil retained or is that not feasible?

Rangers would probably take less to move the entirety of the contract. I would hope for a 1st but his contract makes it hard. I don’t see Adams dealing Rosen but if they could get UPL + 2nd I think rangers do it.

The hitch with Trouba is his NMC, which does ease up after next year. But until then he can veto any trade. And with his wife finishing her physician residency in NYC, he's not looking to leave. But if a scenario like BUF or DET presents- a scenario which might benefit his and his wife's career...and involves a city where he wants to bring up his family- who knows. But that limited market will cut down the cost to get him. Of course- if he loves NYC and looks forward to flipping the bill for elite private schools for his kids...then he's going nowhere.

he would just accept his 1 x 9m qualifying offer in this case.

Trouba is your captain and is playing 2nd most minutes on the team, only behind Fox. They aren't just going to throw him to the curb.

Why do you want him gone so bad?

I don’t. Love the guy but we don’t win spending that much on a 2nd pair dman

Playoffs are far from over still - Rangers are an extremely good team. They can go to war with anyone. Devils are also just a very good team. Patience smile

Regardless of what happens, I think running it back with a very similar group to this year would be perfectly fine.

Panarin doesn't waive for Ottawa, And neither does Trouba. If you're going to make trades at least make them realistic.

DeBrincat won't sign for anything less than 8 x 8 and it's probably closer to 8 x 8.5 and that's from hometown team Detroit. DeBrincats qualifying offer is $9,000,000 so he sure isn't signing for nearly $3,000,000 less especially from the Rangers where he'd be seeing far more money than others.
