That is a great Guentzel trade. Think Stankoven has tons of potential and Borque is good too

Zero chance of Dallas trading both Bourque and Stankoven for Guentzel. Guentzel will want 7 x $7,000,000 on his next deal. And Dallas doesn't have the cap space for him.

I mean I didnt think Horvat would get close to what he got but he did.

This isnt bad for Guentzel, but imo this is the ceiling of what he could get. I love Stankoven and Bourque is very good. But I would imagine this would need to be just one of them, 1st, then another asset to fill a similar blueprint to what Horvat got.

Or, you add Suter/Faksa to this for cap. Im sure if Dallas could dump both of them as well theyd do this. If the Penguins try to contend then i doubt they take them on, but id also doubt they trade Guentzel then try to contend

Jim Nill is one of the stingiest GMs in the league when it comes to moving top prospects and 1st Round Picks. I don't see him trading his 1st round pick for the 2nd year in a row AND arguably Dallas' 2 best prospects, especially not when Dallas really can't afford Guentzel's contract this year & his expected extension after next year.

Love Guentzel, but Nill isn't the kind of GM to make this kind of trade
