Columbus hard pass. Do not ever want to see Panarin in a Jackets jersey again, especially at his current cap hit. Also just got Tex back after a year of waiting, so highly doubt he is anywhere near the block.

Columbus can’t afford Panarin, and I highly doubt he would want to go back.

Honestly having 3 wings making over 8.5 mil isn’t a recipe for success. Columbus would be better off using assets to fix positions of need like a 1c or a 2nd pair LHD.

Good luck getting Panarin to waive his NMC and give up his garage.

Assuming you get Bedard/Fantilli/Carlsson that would mean 3 years of ELC that would line up with with Panarin/Laine contracts. Same with 3 years of Jiricek

laugh Panarin isn't waiving for the worst team in the NHL.

Not too bad of an offer for Nikolaj Ehlers.

Again, Columbus can’t afford Panarin’s 11+ mil cap hit. They have more holes in the line up they would need to fill if they wanted to truly be a competitive team next season that the 11+ mil to Panarin would hurt more then help. If Columbus wanted to actually be competitive next season they would need at least two top 4 defenseman, another top 6 center to go with one of Bedard, Fantilli or Carlsson and look to get a better 1a goalie to go with Elvis as the 1b.

Without doing any of that I’d have a hard time seeing Panarin waiving to go back to Columbus.

In my option, Columbus is at least 1 if not 2 seasons away from actually being a competitive team in the East and the metro division.

2nd to worst team, yes. But the standings will show that they are NOT the worst.

Still in the running for Connor Bedard, So that still makes them one of the worst.

On paper healthy, no way this team is bottom 5 lmao . They finished just a little out of the playoffs and no one expected them to finish bottom 5 before the year started
