Canucks aren’t doing that. They’ll just pay a mid round pick to dump Myers, not move down 18 spots in the 1st round

CAL paid a late 1st to MTL to dump Monahan @6M.
VGK gave away Pacioretty for free to CAR to get rid of 7M cap hit.

How much do you think it would cost for Myers @6M ?

If Vancouver wants to dump Myers, chances are it would indeed cost them a 1st.
...but it'll probably be a protected 1st in 2024. Not a Top-15 in 2023.

Maybe a 3rd. He's still capable of playing top 4 minutes. He is a good vet. His actual salary will be 1 mil. These are all appealing to teams.

When you go over the cap because you just signed a UFA that is when you see those pure cap dump moves with a 1st attached. From that POV its we are gonna sign Kadri and immediately trade Monahan and 1st for nothing. So essentially you get Kadri for Monahan and a 1st. They aren't great comparisons though.

I think people are really under valuing Jordan harris here. He's a top 4, 22 year old defenceman

Canucks decline. They won’t move their 1st to dump Myers. If that’s what other teams demand to take him, then they’ll just keep him.

Oh, I agree. I wouldn't make that trade at all. Personally, I would ask to go from 29 to 13 just to take Myers contract...nothing added, no Harris, no Mysak.
I just don't think VAN would be interested in doing that, as a more realistic scenario (should they really want to move Myers) would be to pay a protected 1st next year, instead of dangling their 13th this year.
