I think we should pull the trigger on this. The chance of us getting a 100 pt player with either of those picks is pretty unlikely. The trade would immediately put Detroit into playoff contention without giving up a roster player and Marner fits the timeline perfectly/has years left on his contract.

It would obviously depend on what the extension would look like.

Also, keep in mind that DeBrincat and Nylander play on opposite wings.

I'm not sure it would be a good fit for Ottawa.
