Hall to Colorado makes sense, but they can't include Malinski. He chose to come to Colorado over other teams, and it would be bad form to trade him this soon.

Fair, then maybe a 2nd or 3rd round pick or another decent prospect can make it work

Los Angeles declines. We're certainly interested in Ullmark, though, but you have to understand that our cap situation requires at least $1.25 million going back the other way. Grundstrom or Durzi plus the third (with or without MacEwen, whose Qualifying Offer is higher than that) works for us.

I won't pretend to be a huge hockey prospect guru, but a quick elite prospects search tells me these guys in the LA trade aren't all that valuable compared to Ullmark. I know the Bruins aren't gonna get an Eric Lindros type return for him, but he's gonna win the Vezina and he's getting paid half of what his market value is. If we're gonna break up the Ullmark-Swayman tandem we've got to get something good for him, especially given all the teams in need of goaltending help.

Kings would decline. the money just doesnt work for the Kings. They could probably sign Korpy for less money and not give up any assets or sign Kory and trade those other two away for picks it just doesnt make sense without a money contract going somewhere. Also Gavikov wont sign for that kind of contract, if he wanted less than 5m and only wanted a couple years Kings would have locked him up already.

^ This. Right idea. Wrong pieces. Malinski moved that soon would make sure no college free agents wanted to sign in Colorado for some time.

You can get better returns for all 3 of those trades
