At that point you might as well add Raymond and Kasper and dump Murray on the Wings as well.

3rd time today I've said this: if your trade to Detroit has to include Seider or Raymond, just don't make the trade. It isn't happening, it's out of the question

Lol you definitely are ticking off the wacky wingers. Mo Seider is Bobby Orr, how dare you attempt any trade for him! The idea of trading Marner in the division is also sickening. No thanks.

I would never offer Marner to the Wings. Why this person thought this was a good idea is beyond me.

That could be true. Very tough situation ahead for the next gm😬

But trading Matthews would be a catastrophe in many ways IMO. What is the plan when Tavares starts to decline and his contract is up? Then there is nobody. Getting a top 6 Center from free agency is really unlikely.

Leafs starts a rebuild? So many questions if Matthews is traded.

I wouldn't trade Seider for Marner straight up. It is so much harder to find a #1 defenseman than an elite winger, on top of the fact that Seider is 4 years younger.

It’s more me laughing at how out of touch you guys are with reality. The Wings are back in the 70s and 80 again, it’s Dead Wings all over again.

Just for anyone curious…

The Wings trading Seider for Marner is dumb. Marner is the better player, and is in his prime. A trade for him means the gamble that Marner will re-sign with Detroit. Less likely he will want to re-sign if a terrible defense loses their best defenseman and gets worse. If he leaves, the Wings are holding an empty cup wondering what happened.

If the Wings trade Seider for Marner, they lose a number 1D for the next decade, and equip a division foe for even longer, making it harder to get into the playoffs.

Wow I’m reading something rational from a Wings fan on ACGM. This is a change of pace and certainly a refreshing development.

Seeing as Leafs fans are so smart, I didn't think it was necessary to go into detail about all this, but I'm the utterly delusional one... Never said Seider is better or Marner is ****, it's very obvious you don't give up a 1D who is much younger, team controlled, and on a team that has nobody else even close to comparable back there.

This is literally the exact point I was making by saying I wouldn't do the deal straight up 1 for 1 that you called utter delusions, make it make sense.
