Colorado may trade one of their LD to upgrade at centre but not 2 of them. And not 2 of them for a winger. Also, I attempted to play around with a Marner to Colorado trade a few days back. The cap REALLY doesn't work for Colorado with Marner. They could fit a guy like Nylander in but they cannot fit in Marner. I don't see Colorado and Toronto being viable trading partners this offseason for a big trade like this.

The only far fetched trade they could make would be JT going to Colorado but there would need to be close to 3m retention from the Leafs end for it to actually work for Colorado. So I doubt they work something out.

I agree but with landeskog putting in long term IR he they don’t use it contract which gives them money. Landeskog won’t be back for a while still so marner w rants and mackinnon would be unstoppable

I thought the same thing. And then I tried making the Colorado side of the AGM and it really doesn't work. Try it yourself and see if you can come up with something that I couldn't.

Sure that line would be the top line in hockey. But you have to basically gut the rest of their team to make it happen.
