I'm open to some kind of Garland Mitchell swap, but it'll likely need to be more going to CHI.

Also, after the signing bonus is paid...doubt you need to lose much to send TMyers to AZ, if anything at all.

I think more goes to VAN in the Garland deal, he's not bad, he's just got a bad contract for a middle-six player.

Does he really have a bad contract? 50 points for 5 mil seems fair to me. Especially since Garland is very responsible defensively, and he is doing all this with a limited role and with AHL linemates

Can't see the hawks taking on garland at 5 mil for 3 more years for a pick upgrade. Atleast take out the 5th and up that 3rd to a 2nd. The hawks got a 2nd for taking on smaller contracts recently

Except Garland is a far better player than the ones Chicago took on as cap dumps. Garland is worth his contract, guys like Zaitsev and Dickinson (before seemingly playing well this year) were not
