That's not exactly an earth shattering top 6 forward winger core. What would be better, having Marchenko as your 5th best winger with Garland in the mix or having no Garland and Eric Robinson as your 5th best winger?

Garland really isnt going to have the type of impact you guys think he will. Otherwise, you'd be asking for a lot more than a bust prospect and a 3rd.

Not to mention the goal here isn't "Stanley Cup caliber T6" it's, to your point, "help develop young players." You don't trade for the Garlands of the world to do that. If the goal is "find a veteran M6 winger," there are going to be better options.

I think he'll have the impact I think he will haha. A 3rd for a middle 6 play driving winger isn't much. He's a good player. Nothing special. An agitator too. Always comes with a good effort. Can't shoot. Can hold possession. Goes in the corners. Good edges.

People get carried away too like he isn't by any means a negative asset as some suggest. He'll get you 45-55 points without pp time. I don't know why you wouldn't want that on your team if you had the cap space.

Who do you have in mind as better options?
