Description
Buffalo scored enough goals last year. Making the playoffs is going to be from improvements in goal and on D. You overpay Andersen and Acciari to keep term to 1 year with Dahlin and Power extensions in mind. Andersen + a full year of Levi is a solid upgrade in goal.

Adding Weegar with a healthy Samuelsson makes the top 4 among the best in the league. Kulak likely to be a cap casualty in Edmonton and is a luxury to have as your #5 D who can play both sides and take on spot duty in the top 4.

I think weegar would waive for buffalo, he’s an Ottawa boy so close to home. Foegele added depth upfront but not necessary if they’d rather keep jost there.

Will map out how this could look in 24-25 w/ extensions on D

Buffalo may be closer to Ottawa than Calgary, but you wouldn't wanna walk it.

Why are the Oilers players worth nothing?

More a result of the oilers cap situation than their inherent value. Kulak is a valuable player - but at luxury to have on your 3rd pair at that price. Trading him on his own might net you a mid to late round pick. Foegele is an average 3rd liner or luxury on the 4th. Holland is going to be under pressure to create cap space this summer and should avoid paying assets to take have other teams take on contracts (kassian, and what would be needed for Campbell). Could mean losing players like kulak and Foegele for nothing. Buffalo in a good spot to take advantage of this.

I’ll do another agm from oilers perspective

Weegar just signed a long-term contract with Calgary. It is unlikely that he will be traded, it makes no sense. Hanifin and Tanev are probably more realistic options, but anyway I wouldn't move Savoie.

A playoff team avoids trading it's players to prevent not being a playoff team.

You don't seem to have a clue who Foegele is:
Foegele vs Peterka
Foegele vs Quinn

Because he watches them in the playoffs? Kidding aside, you'd definitely get at least a couple of picks back.

Weegar is also an unlikely candidate to move for an underwhelming return.

At least they made the playoffs. Kidding also, but we're supposed to right? lol.

Calgary will be alright. First season on a new team for some important players, they'll figure it out

I'm just tired of folks that try and B.S others with there "My opinions based on someone else's opinions are facts" garbage.
